Project Quick Access

GP Technologies Ltd.

Established in 1996 as a specialized electrical power system engineering firm. For the first several years of operation, the company focused on the analysis of some of the most technically challenging power systems problems in the industry — including bulk power system remedial action scheme dynamics, UFLS/UVLS schemes, harmonic filter modeling, high-speed bus transfer rotor dynamics, TRV, CSI/VSI drive dynamics, and transient voltage and rotor angle stability.

Over 30 years of providing professional services, GP Tech has expanded its expertise to front-end engineering design (FEED), detailed design, procurement, execution/outage planning, construction support, and commissioning. All aspects of power system analysis are supported, utilizing a broad range of industry-standard modeling software.

"GP Technologies specializes in the analysis and design of mission-critical electrical power systems, with a primary focus on brownfield and maintenance projects. Our streamlined size, combined with deep technical expertise, enables us to consistently deliver superior outcomes across the three pillars: cost, schedule, and quality."

The SymCore
Advantage

SymCore (SymCore Systems Inc. and SymCore Services Inc.) was established in 2024 with the strategic objective to bring fabrication of industrial electrical equipment and field services in-house to directly support GP Technologies' engineering operations.

01
Hand-in-Glove Model
The central thesis is a seamless operational model enabled by the co-location of both organizations within the same building, and the involvement of both SymCore and GP Tech staff throughout the entire project development and execution process.
02
Eliminate Fragmentation
In a conventional project, engineering firms complete a design and issue it to a third-party fabricator. This linear process is rife with misinterpretation and late-stage design errors. The SymCore / GP Tech model eliminates this fragmentation entirely.
03
Real-Time Feedback
Engineers consult with fabricators during the initial design phase, allowing for real-time adjustments. SymCore estimators and procurement personnel provide constant feedback regarding design changes based on continuously evolving equipment lead times.
